A few weeks ago, Randy and I were asked if we had ever heard of The Pancreatic Oath. Learning we had not, we were offered a complementary book and asked if we would read and review it. Of course we accepted. Randy and I are always curious of new information pertaining to health and fitness. The Pancreatic Oath arrived kindly in the mail just days later…
The Pancreatic Oath, written by Candice P. Rosen, BS, RN, MSW, CHC, is exactly what Rosen describes it to be – “a Self-Health Book.” It is “NOT,” as Rosen further states, a diet book, nutrition book, diabetes book, or even a self- help book.

It gained some popularity with endorsements for Giselle Bundchen and Jennifer Lopez who say they used it to lose their pregnancy weight. The basic idea of the Dukan Diet is a four phase plan…
I was watching our local PBS station this past weekend and to my surprise, I see Dr. Joel Fuhrman, the same Dr. that Joe Cross, director of Fat Sick and Nearly Dead, consulted on his quest for better health and weight loss. Randy and I watched Fat Sick and Nearly Dead (a documentary on achieving better health) just weeks ago. We were truly inspired by it and went on juice fasts of our own with positive results.
