REALLY? Alright, I woke with a morning headache again thanks to the cow, and I think it’s finally dawned on me why. Don’t take on a juice fast reboot, while taking on the world at the same time, lol… The cow finally kicked some sense into me, I think… Well, I’ve been kicked a few times now, so I hope I’ve gained some smarts vs. lost. 😉

Randy was surprised that I had a headache again, too, this morning, and after talking about it some, things started to make sense. See, we’ve a bit more than usual going on around the house. Well, there’s always much going on. But with the kids wedding coming up fast, our spring projects, the holiday, relatives visiting, and then the other usual daily tasks with kids, school, family life and the blog…life tends to get overwhelming and hard to remember to drink the right amounts of juice. In other words, I need to slow down and pay more attention to my juice fast.

Whether or not this will happen (I’m going to try to make it happen) should be interesting, lol… I’m setting up our bucket garden today, and rather excited about it. The plants have to go out today (their little roots are sprouting out of their little seedling pods), so it’s a do NOW type situation…

Nightly Juice Fast Reboot Assessment:

  • Headaches – A morning headache, but faded quickly
  • Sleep – Good sleep and up early again
  • Energy – Lots of extra energy today
  • Joint pain – Still great and holding their own since my previous reboot/fast
  • Stamina – Very good
  • Motivation – Strong
  • Hunger – Was pretty hungry around lunchtime, but the juice is plenty satisfying now
The bucket garden took more time to put together than I planned. It didn’t go like how I typically transplant a house plant, lol, which I guess I kind of predicted my time by. But, after all the mixing of dirt, compost, and other goodies, I’m sure it will be worth it in the long run. A BIG Thank YOU to our jet set for Maui neighbors, Lisa and Lopez, for letting us have their ready to go compost. You guys are so awesome! Our little plants are going to be sooooo happy to have it! 🙂

Bucket-Garden

So here it is, the very beginning of our bucket garden. From left to right, we’ve large patio tomatoes, cherry tomatoes (hopefully I get two yellow in today), then green peppers, yellow peppers, jalapenos, and habeneros. I’m experimenting with the upside down tomato plants and herbs in a long bucket as well. We’ll see what happens. I’ve never had a bucket garden before, so this will all be a learning experience. We grew our vegetables in ground tilled gardens in Wisconsin. So like I said, there is a lot to be learned with hope for a good bounty.

Ideally, I’d love to have all kinds of vegetables, especially leafy greens to keep up with our appetites and juice fasting. That would be so great. And knowing that our organic vegetables are more nutrient dense than what we could buy commercial in the store makes it even better. It feels good to do something really beneficial for the family… I like it.

Now, I just have to keep it all alive and healthy, lol…OH, and add all the fun decorative touches here and there as time allows. I can’t wait to do that. Decorating is the easy part.
