We’re always looking for cool new ways to improve our health while keeping on the lookout for hoaxes and snake oil rip offs. Most recently my curiosity was piqued by some information I saw about a water ionizer that made some pretty interesting claims. It said that our body pH is out of whack from all the acidic foods and sodas we consume and you can fix it by using this water ionizer. They also made claims about drinking water that was overly purified being bad for you. Saying that it acts like a sponge and sucks the nutrients out of your cells.
Obesity in America – it’s not an epidemic, it’s the norm. It sure seems that way anyhow. The next time you’re out, take a good look around you. Notice the people about? Sadly, most will have a common denominator, and it’s not a healthy one. Fat is the fad and most of us sport plenty of it. Really, there’s so much fat walking, shopping, working, moving, and jiggling everywhere, we don’t even bat an eye at it.
This recipe for Makeover Pumpkin Butter Cake is a must make for the season! Who doesn’t love cake? How about butter? I know my Mother is going to snipe this recipe in a stealth snippet! Though Mom, please do try to refrain from adding more butter! And, maybe this would be a good opportunity to try reduced-fat butter… Just don’t tell Papa! Hey, it’s merely a suggestion to follow the recipe, lol.. 😉
If you want to wow your guests at Thanksgiving dinner, you have to, must have to, serve this Pumpkin Patch Biscuits Recipe. It is the best recipe for biscuits I have ever made in all my years of baking biscuits! Of course, I must add that I am partial to pumpkin. Those of you following the blog know as much, so this does sway my taste-buds in their favor. However I have to admit, overall, the biscuits are extremely moist and fluffy with a bit of pumpkiny sweet goodness that, truly, I’m sure not many could decline… You try them and tell me I’m wrong, ok? 😉
