I was watching our local PBS station this past weekend and to my surprise, I see Dr. Joel Fuhrman, the same Dr. that Joe Cross, director of Fat Sick and Nearly Dead, consulted on his quest for better health and weight loss. Randy and I watched Fat Sick and Nearly Dead (a documentary on achieving better health) just weeks ago. We were truly inspired by it and went on juice fasts of our own with positive results.
I mixed up this recipe for pineapple dressing to compliment our pineapple marinated, tender steak salad. Earlier in the week, I was searching for the best way to tenderize beef. I generally buy cheaper cuts of meat that need such tender attention. Anyway, to my surprise, I learned that one of the best, most simplest marinates to tenderize meat in is fresh pineapple juice – that’s it. Sweet!
