Everyone enjoys deli sandwiches, but there’s been a lot of talk about whether deli meats are good or bad for you. Although deli meats can be high in sodium and contain nitrates, most nutritionists agree that as long as you’re not indulging daily, deli meat is safe to go.
It’s my favorite time of year, but running in summer can be a bit daunting. We live in Florida so it’s pretty warm year round and in the summer it can be down right oppressive. Getting up the nuts to go out there and run is tough some days, but I still prefer it to a treadmill unless its rainy hard.
You might think it’s crazy to go pound the pavement when the heat index is well over 100, but with a little planning and preparation you can still enjoy your workout without having to stay inside. Be reasonable though. If you’re are completely new to running in the heat or maybe not in the best of shape then proceed slowly and with caution. Be sure to take note of the heat sickness and heat stroke warning signs below!
